Policies

We don't have many policies at Arawa Occupational Therapy. We believe that the respect and kindness we show you is returned and this is the best policy  however please read the below for our cancellation, sick and servicing policies

Cancellation policy

It is bound to happen, a tummy bug, a snotty nose or an unexpected change in routine but to keep our business running smoothly, we have a cancellation policy:

  • If you cancel within 48 hours of your session you will be charged 100% of your fee. 

If you’d like to reschedule, we’ll do our best however if we can not find a solution, we will offer telehealth or indirect therapy supports.

Should you wish to cease services we require 7 days written notice. Any services scheduled within this time have a right to be charged if not attended.

Indirect Therapy Supports

In the event of a cancellation we offer indirect supports.

We may also need to complete these supports before or after regular sessions to ensure smooth progress and engagement during therapy.

These supports are specific to you or your young person and are billed for the time spent on them.

 

Examples of these supports include:

  • Progress Summaries

  • Therapy Planning

  • Resource creation specific to goals

  • Therapy management plans

  • Research Resources for sessions or home use

  • Reviewing documentation from other professionals

  • Communication with other professionals
