At Arawa Occupational Therapy we love to connect with people, we don't believe that location is a barrier to success and therefore we offer most of our services on telehealth too!
Sessions will often include a small amount of preparation from the clients caregiver or support person. This could look like setting up the space with the resources required, printing a document or two and being present during the session.

Arawa Occupational Therapy offers a range of assessments. Assessments are completed with reports within a 4 week timeframe.

School readiness checklists and report
-
Preschool screeners
-

Parent Coaching

Therapy sessions can be incredibly fun and busy and we do our best to provide in the moment education but we acknowledge that sometimes it is hard to take it all in.
We offer parent coaching for specific education and to provide time for listening and responding to the challenges and concerns you might have. We provide this support after hours to ensure parents, caregivers and the other people in your village can be present. We will always follow up these sessions with an email to cover the discussion topics.
Staff development / Mentoring

We offer staff development to preschools, schools, support workers and other professional groups who are wanting to upskills. We know how boring it can be sitting and listening to someone talk at you so we ensure all our training is interactive, engaging and specific to the clients and students you are working with.
Mentoring is a wonderful addition to our services. We have enjoyed supporting other occupational therapists in growing their clinical skills and knowledge. We provide supervision/mentoring via telehealth to service providers.
Allied Health Assistant

Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) work under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist to support participants in achieving their therapy goals.
They provide assistance with implementing treatment plans, carrying out therapeutic activities, and building therapy into daily routines.
We are so excited to have our own AHA on board the team who can support and bridge the gaps between therapy times. All AHA programs are created by the Occupational Therapists and regular check ins with the treating Occupational Therapist will be scheduled.
